Based in Zurich, Peter is an acknowledged international expert and boardroom campaigner on matters of business integrity and sustainability.
For the past 20 years he has advised, and been a valued partner, of many of the world’s best-known companies, as well as public and non-profit organizations.
Today, he is member of the founding team of Globalance Bank, an independent Swiss bank who are making sustainability an integral principle of their investment strategies across all asset classes. From 1999-2010 Peter played a key role in all aspects of SustainAbility’s work, including as its firstCEO from 2001-2006, and most recently as a Non-Executive Director.
His focus has always been on strategy and implementation, including emphasis on corporate governance, accountability and stakeholder engagement. Peter is a natural bridge-builder and effective guide for decision makers, as well as an exceptional writer, speaker and facilitator of engagement processes.
Prior to joining SustainAbility, Peter served Swiss industrialist Stephan Schmidheiny, founder of the Business Council for Sustainable Development (now WBCSD), for whom he was involved in venture capital investments, as well as in the creation of AVINA, an institution that invests in sustainability leadership and social entrepreneurs in Latin America.
He also spent two years at the World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington, D.C., and served as Director of Strategic Development of FUNDES International, where he co-managed this network for small business development in nine countries of Latin America.
