We are supporting an Infrastructure fund, involving more than 13 companies located in Brazil, Argentina and Chile covering activities from telecom and the provision of clean water to transport and logistics, among others.
The ERM team assisted Patria and its portfolio companies with the identification of positive contributions that the fund’s companies are making to sustainable development, specifically by tracking them against the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The project focused on crosscutting SDGs where the portfolio companies and investors are making a “major contribution” and SDGs that individual investee companies are seeking to develop or contribute to. This will help our client, Patria Investments, to strengthen support and recognition for its positive contributions – particularly among financial institutions and its own investors.
The effort also provides opportunities for the fund to generate shared value and align with global, national and regional agendas in favor of the SDGs. After SDGs were identified and validated, KPIs were developed for tracking progress against them, and data collection is being rolled out to all 11 companies in Patria’s infrastructure fund.
