We supported the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) in marking its 50th anniversary with a campaign showcasing global health progress over the last 50 years and looking ahead to the next 50.
We developed a report, microsite, videos and suite of communications assets which articulate the contributions of the research-based biopharmaceutical industry to people’s lives.
The report launched on the occasion of the 71st World Health Assembly in May 2018 in Geneva.
We developed a report, microsite, videos and suite of communications assets which articulate the contributions of the research-based biopharmaceutical industry to people’s lives and makes them more known and made personal. They also demonstrated how the industry is a partner and solutions provider for the future.
SustainAbility supported IFPMA across five key areas:
1. Desk research and analysis
We examined the existing body of work documenting global health progress in the past and the future, systematically covering relevant industry and other stakeholder bodies.
2. Stakeholder interviews
We complemented desk research with stakeholder engagement. We mapped external experts to prioritise our outreach and conducted a series of interviews to gather multi-stakeholder perspectives.
3. Develop key themes
Based on our research and outreach, we developed and agreed themes with the IFPMA team, considering relevance to our audience and relation to particular global frameworks.
4. Content development
We worked closely with IFPMA to agree the report content and outline. Based on this, we developed the people-based stories to bring to life the themes, leveraging our research and engagement outputs. We created an engaging blend of key data and facts, striking visuals, pull quotes and case studies. We worked in tandem with our creative partners Wolf & Player to provide full design treatment.
5. Creating engagement tools
We developed a suit of engaging and accessible engagement tools which are rooted in the evidence of the flagship report. This included visuals, infographics, fact sheets, video outputs, presentation materials and social media assets.
“The last 50 years has seen companies move to greater global accountability. The next 50 will be about further delivering on our purpose: putting patients first to deliver better health for everyone, everywhere.” – Thomas Cueni, IFPMA Director General
