ERM’s Aquatic Toxicology services provide a comprehensive spectrum of wastewater, sediment and product assessment toxicity testing services, with particular emphasis on defensible data, delivered on time - every time.
The assessment of aquatic toxicity is a critical element in water quality, sediment management and discharge monitoring programs. In order to meet the ever-changing regulatory standards, we perform an array of aquatic toxicity tests to address state and federal wastewater discharge permit requirements, impacted sediment assessment and clean-up objectives, and new product evaluations.
Established in 1995, ERM’s Aquatic Toxicology Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, constant photoperiod and temperature controlled exposure chambers, chilled water baths, and a variety of static, static renewal, and flow-through test systems. An independent organism culture facility allows for the propagation of in-house, high quality test organisms. The laboratory is staffed with biologists and technicians knowledgeable in the latest testing protocols and procedures and pride ourselves on providing all of our reports in timelines compliant with both client business and regulatory needs.
Aquatic Toxicology is a unique service that Environmental Resources Management (ERM) offers in the United States. Based in Holland, MI, our laboratory is certified through the US National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) (No. 68-04227) and by our global consultancy, offering environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services worldwide.
