About The ICRS
The Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) is the UK’s professional body for corporate responsibility and sustainability (CRS).
It was established by a group of senior CRS practitioners to ensure that people and companies working in the field had the recognition and support they needed to be brilliant in their work.
The idea of a professional body initially came from members of the Corporate Responsibility Group (CRG), a membership body for organisations with a commitment to CRS, that was established in 1987.
The CRG championed responsible business practices and supported pioneering practitioners from companies such as Marks and Spencer, Alliance Boots and IBM to make change happen within their companies. In January 2015, the CRG became the ICRS – allowing the Institute to serve both individual and organisational members.
