BASF Global Supplier CO2 Management Program - Introduction Sessions on Product Carbon Footprinting

Sven Lundie is a Partner for ERM’s Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change services in Central & Eastern Europe based in Hamburg, Germany. 

Sven is an industrial engineer by profession and a professional moderator and business coach. Sven has spent more than 25 years in management consultancy, industry, and academia providing advice to a broad range of sectors (agriculture, automotive, aviation, chemicals, energy, food, health care, manufacturing, mining, oil/gas, pharmaceutical, waste and water) in Europe, APAC, and NA.  

He has developed university curricula on LCA, PCF, water footprint and corporate sustainability. He also developed an interactive learning module on patient treatments and delivered the roll-out with more than 500 physicians. Sven has led ERM‘s support to the BASF global supplier carbon footprint program in 2022 and 2023. 

Michael Spielmann is a globally positioned leader, manager, and expert in sustainability strategy consulting, climate change strategy, carbon footprinting & Life Cycle Assessment with 25 years’ experience.

He has managed numerous commercial projects in various sectors such as renewable energy & fuels, chemicals, manufacturing & automotive, amongst others. In the chemical industry he worked for corporations such as Evonik, BASF, Volkswagen, BMW , etc. on Carbon footprint scaling, supplier engagement, internal capability building  etc.  He was part of the founding team of the ecoinvent LCA database, and holds a PhD from ETH Zurich, focusing on scenario-based technology assessments of innovative technologies. Before joining ERM, Michael worked for Southpole, Quantis & Sphera.

Andres has over 10 years of experience in Carbon Management and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), leading projects in the renewable energy, food and beverage, oil & energy, and packaging sectors.

He was part of the team that built the first Chilean LCI database for the food sector (Ecobase Alimentos) and has contributed as a researcher for the Sustainability Measurement and Reporting System from the Sustainability Consortium. In the last couple of years, he worked for a Carbon Management SAS company building LCA cradle-to-gate models for the calculation of Scope 3 Category 1 emissions and has specialized in LCA projects for the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
