ERM at COP16

COP16 will be held in Cali, Colombia from Monday 21 October to Friday 1 November, 2024.

ERM’s team will be participating in this year’s COP16, United Nations Biodiversity Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, which will be hosted by Colombia for the first time.

This year’s COP16 will take place in Cali, Colombia between October 21 and November 1, 2024, held under the slogan “Peace with Nature” a call for reflection to improve our relationship with the environment and a time to rethink an economic model that does not prioritize the extraction, overexploitation and pollution of nature.

It’s Time to Step Up

ERM is dedicated to helping companies step up and accelerate the integration of sustainability deep into their operations. It won’t be easy, but acting now is the best way to realize commercial value and ensure societal progress.

Regarding nature, companies must urgently step up their water management efforts by:

  • accelerating the adoption of nature-based solutions (NCS) focused on water-related challenges while enhancing biodiversity and community well-being.
  • intensifying water stewardship through measuring, managing, and mitigating their water use across supply chains and by forming partnerships to address broader water scarcity.

ERM’s team will be sponsoring, speaking and hosting several events across the two weeks. We work with organizations to help them factor nature and water into their strategies and transition to a nature positive future. We partner with clients to turn financial data and scientific insights into meaningful and rapid action.
