Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and working from our Oakland office, Aiste leads research on emerging sustainability trends that helps business leaders and their stakeholders anticipate changes and respond to the evolving sustainable development agenda.

Aiste also manages the GlobeScan/SustainAbility Survey of sustainability leaders and has in-depth knowledge of and interest in climate change issues, especially the role of business in transition to low carbon economy; social impact assessment; human rights, labor and supply chain issues; and emerging markets. Aiste has worked on projects for companies across a wide range of industries and sectors including Nike, Cisco and Shell. She is a frequent contributor of blogs and has been published and quoted in GreenBiz and The Guardian.

Prior to joining SustainAbility, Aiste spent more than 10 years working at the intersection of non-profit, private and public sectors in five countries. Most recently, she led research and grantmaking initiatives at the Global Fund for Women and Microclinic International. She also worked as a journalist and public relations advisor in the UK, Germany, Lithuania and Russia.
