SustainAbility’s partnership with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters has been featured in a GreenBiz article on how brand awareness helps to win sustainability consulting contracts.
The article outlines how the so-called Big Four (Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC and Deloitte) currently dominate sustainability consulting engagements among midsize and enterprise firms but also states that smaller boutiques can prevail in outsourcing decisions where they offer specialised expertise.
The partnership between SustainAbility and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters is cited as an example of how smaller consultancies can punch above their weight in this competitive arena. It details how SustainAbility came through a rigorous three month long selection process which included some of the highest profile names in sustainability consulting.
“Ultimately, the selection of SustainAbility was tied to its ability to perform an extensive materiality analysis that will be used to inform Green Mountain Coffee Roasters’ new goals and frameworks. Dupee’s 12-person team created a three-level evaluation process that closely evaluated consultants’ topical expertise on sustainable agriculture, experience with strategic philanthropy programs, connections into its existing supplier network and the tools used to assess and report findings.”
Sustainability are collaborating with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters on the evolution of the Company’s existing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.
