About the Sustainable Foods Summit
Organized by Ecovia Intelligence (formerly Organic Monitor), the Sustainable Foods Summit is an international series of summits that focuses on the leading issues the food industry faces concerning sustainability and eco-labels, such as Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, amongst others.
The aim of the Sustainable Foods Summit is to explore new horizons for eco-labels and sustainability in the food industry by discussing key industry issues. In this edition the conferences will focus on the future outlook of organic & sustainable product sales, reflecting on questions such as:
- Will the ‘mainstreaming’ of the organic food market continue?
- What disruption is being created by Amazon and other new entrants?
- What positive health benefits are given by sustainable foods?
The Sustainable Foods Summit is a climate-neutral event. The carbon footprint of the European and North American summits are determined by calculating the carbon and greenhouses gases. These emissions were offset by investing in soil composting projects. The North American edition will also be a zero waste event.
